Roy "Bushman" McClish

Roy was a longtime member of the MABRC and was the Eastern Oklahoma State Director, he will be sadly missed as he was one of the hearts of the MABRC.

Roy McClish, 78, passed November 2, 2021. He was born February 28, 1943, in Blanco, Oklahoma to Buster McClish and Lucille (Henington) McClish. Roy enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves on March 2, 1960 while still in high school. After graduation from Indianola High School in Indianola, Oklahoma, he left for boot camp. He served as a Gunner’s Mate aboard the USS Thetis Bay until he was honorably discharged on March 1, 1966. Roy married Esther (Sue) Lusk on December 17, 1965 in Indianola, Oklahoma and they had two daughters, Theresa and Paula. He was a welder and worked in a steel company for many years where he was promoted to Plant Superintendent before his retirement. He later married Sandra (Sandy) Magill and remained married until her death on December 7, 2014. On April 17,2021 Roy married Judy Huffman in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. Roy was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking out with family and friends, squatching, and riding his trike. He was an avid OU fan and never missed a game. He enjoyed singing karaoke so much that he bought all the equipment so others could enjoy it as well. Roy was very proud of his military time served. He loved his country and was very patriotic. He served with the Patriot Guard and rode his trike with them to honor other veterans. Roy was a quiet man that loved his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Mr. McClish in death are his parents Buster and Lucille McClish, wife, Sandra, and one brother, Ted McClish.

Survivors include his wife Judy of the home; his daughters Theresa Hightower and husband Carl, of Oologah, Ok., Paula Felkins and husband Brian, of Talala, Ok.; bonus daughter, Shelly Shipley and husband Robin Tunnell, of Spavinaw, Ok.; step-children Renee Woodward and husband Kevin, of Cleora, Ok.; Leonard Hutchins and wife Becky, of Broken Arrow, Ok.; and Anthony Hutchins, of Anaheim, Ca.; grandchildren, Adra Felkins, Blake Hightower and fiancé Amanda Anschutz, Loren Battles and husband Austin, Ryan Hightower; brothers, Don McClish and wife Irene, Jim McClish and wife Gloria, and sister-in-law Jonell McClish; other relatives and a host of friends.

A visitation for Roy McClish will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the family present from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. Honorary casket bearers: Blake Hightower, Ryan Hightower, Austin Battles, Tommy Bentley, Jimmy Dodson, and Scotty Paget His wishes were for his ashes to go on one last motorcycle ride. He will be escorted to Wann Cemetery in Oologah, Oklahoma for the burial of his remains.Roy "Bushman" McClish
