I’m often asked if Bigfoot uses tools, or even fire. To this day, no reports have been turned in that has shown Bigfoot to be using fire, but we do have many where Bigfoot has used some items as tools.
Another of my favorite reports turned into me over the years involved a gentleman who was fishing near Branson, Missouri when he had an incident happen to him about 25 years ago that makes a person really wonder to what extent Bigfoot does use tools or other items it comes across.
The gentleman was fishing in a secluded spot and his vehicle was parked nearly a half mile away from where he sat, and the vegetation came nearly down to the water’s edge. With several poles in the water, he kicked back and was just enjoying the peace and quiet of the location when he heard something large moving through the woods back behind him. Worried that perhaps a bear or mountain lion may be coming up to try and snag any fish he had, he stood up and tried to peer through the underbrush to see if he could identify what it was. To his amazement, nearly 150 feet back into the woods, he spotted a Bigfoot making its way down to the water, in particular a small alcove about 100 feet from where he was fishing.
Staying quiet, the man watched as the Bigfoot reached the water and knelt down, and that is when he noticed the old-style silver lunch box that the Bigfoot had been carrying with it. It opened up the lunch box and dipped it into the water, filling it up, and then it took a very long drink out of it. When it was finished, it refilled the lunch box up with water, closed it and turned to leave, and that is when it finally noticed the man watching it. It stood up, exchanged looks with the man for a few seconds before turning and heading back into the woods, carrying its lunch box full of water with it.
Apparently, the Bigfoot had either found or stolen the lunch box and realized it would hold water, enabling the Bigfoot to not spend a lot of time having to travel through the woods back down to the water every time it needed a drink, it could just carry the water back to wherever it was hunkered down at.
I’ve had other reports of tool-type usage by Bigfoot, from using sticks to dig with like chimpanzees do, to using rocks to open turtle shells, and even from people having plastic five-gallon buckets disappear from their yards or barns, only to be found a ¼ mile into the woods. I do firmly believe that Bigfoot is an opportunist and will use whatever it can get it’s hands on to make life a little easier for them.
